Toilet and Bathroom Design
In this house the owners wanted to create a large shower and incorporate plenty of storage for their two adult daughters. This involved removal of the existing bath and installation of wall cabinets and a vanity with a large basin and 2 taps.
Toilet and Bathroom Design – plan
By removing the bath we had plenty of room to install a good sized frameless shower (1500mm long x 900mm wide) a 1200mm long vanity and 2 wall cabinets. we could also have placed a wall cabinet behind the mirror.

Toilet and Bathroom Design – North Wall
This shows the north walls of both the bathroom and toilet with the dividing wall. It shows the tile height (which differs in the 2 rooms) as well as the vanity and wall cabinet height.
Bathroom – East Wall
Here we see the large shower and vanity. The vanity has 2 basin taps and only one large basin, the advantage with this idea is that the drawers have very little wasted space as there is only 1 waste. There are 4 drawers giving good storage.
Bathroom – South Wall
This view of the south wall shows the clearance between the room door and the shower. We used a shower slide as it is most practical and enables easy shower cleaning. The tiles in the shower go to the ceiling but only part way up the room walls.
Bathroom – West Wall
This wall divides the bathroom and toilet and is where we have placed the heated towel rail (easy access when exiting the shower) and the 2 wall cabinets which store spare towels and the families bathroom items. Doing this helps to keep the bench space in the bathroom clear and uncluttered.
Toilet – West Wall
The west wall of the toilet showing the tiled skirting and positioning of toilet, window and door.
